This Mango Salsa is a burst of tropical flavor! Sweet mango, tangy lime, and a hint of spice come together in this refreshing and vibrant salsa.
Ingredients:
- 1 mango, peeled, pitted, and diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- A handful of fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 small red chilli, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 5 drops of fish sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Mango:
- Peel and pit the mango, then dice it into small cubes. Place the mango cubes in a mixing bowl.
Chop the Vegetables:
- Finely chop half of a red onion and add it to the bowl with the mango.
- Chop a handful of fresh coriander and add it to the bowl.
- Finely chop the red chilli, adjusting the amount based on your heat preference, and add it to the bowl.
Add the Seasonings:
- Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture.
- Add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and 5 drops of fish sauce.
Mix the Salsa:
- Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined.
Taste and Adjust:
- Taste the salsa and adjust the seasoning if needed, adding more lime juice, sesame oil, or fish sauce to taste.
Serve:
- Serve immediately or let the salsa sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together.
- This salsa pairs well with grilled meats, fish, tacos, or as a refreshing side dish.
Storage:
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
